Snowshoe at Truckee is primarily a weather information repository. The weather page contains information from my own weather station, located in the Prosser Heights subdivision of Truckee, California. The weather station is a Davis Vantage Pro. The station is at 6050 feet. The software is Weather Display. I have a number of links to local and national weather sites.

Besides weather contacts and information for retirees of the Santa Rosa Police Department are maintained.

The Tahoe Hiking page (under development) contains information that may be useful to hikers in the area. It includes links of GPS routes I have taken.

Other stuff is well...other stuff.

One of the best weather sites in the Tahoe area is Tahoe Weather Discussion.
If you are looking for something other than the standard National Weather Service forecasts this is the place to look. Bryan Allegretto puts out understandable yet sophisticated weather forecasting information, specifically aimed at the Tahoe-Truckee area.
